Modelling Individual Decisions to Support
the European Policies Related to Agriculture

Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universitat Bonn

The University of Bonn (UBO) is an internationally highly visible institution of higher education and research. The groups of ‘Economic and Agricultural Policy’ (Heckelei) and ‘Economic Modelling of Agricultural Systems’ (Britz) at the Institute for Food and Resource Economics focus on quantitative analysis of competitive and environmental effects of agro-food policies. Apart from econometric work, they develop, empirically specify, and apply various economic simulation models from single farm to global scale. Besides their methodological work, they regularly contribute to impact assessments.
