Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC) is the largest Italian free academic Institution,
counting 5 campuses, 12 faculties and more than 40 thousand students. The Faculty of Agricultural, Food and
Environmental Science has his campus in Piacenza, in Northern Italy and was established in the academic year 1952-53.
The Faculty today holds a prestigious reputation that extends well beyond the nation's borders.
Within this Faculty operates the Alta Scuola di Management ed Economia Agroalimentare (Graduate School of Agri-food
Economics and Management) which is one of the leading Italian schools in the field with European-wide reputation. The
School managed and manages several research projects financed by the EU, national and regional governments, and private
institutions. In the EU research framework programs, the School has been involved in FP6 (EDIM, WEMAC), FP7 (FADNTOOL,
FACTOR MARKETS, PRICE, TRANSFOP) and H2020 (BIOMONITOR, SUSDIET, PEGASUS) projects. The School has also been involved in
consultancy activities for the FAO, the OECD, DG Agri, DG Sanco, and DG Enterprise.
