Project meeting in Halle
|
The MIND STEP team met again on 15-17 March 2023. This time Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO) was our host in Halle, Germany. This annual project meeting was an excellent opportunity to review the project achievements and the state of play of the MIND STEP toolbox.

MIND STEP final stakeholder meeting - SAVE THE DATE!
|
The final MIND STEP stakeholder meeting will take place in Brussels on the 26 October 2023. It will be hosted by the Representation of the State of Lower Saxony. This meeting will serve to communicate the latest project results including the presentation of the MIND STEP model toolbox.

The projects AGRICORE, BESTMAP, and MIND STEP, which form the the Agrimodels Cluster presented the current state of their work and recent findings during a workshop at the 97th Annual Conference of The Agricultural Economics Society that was held at The University of Warwick, UK - 27th - 29th March 2023.

MIND STEP COOPERATING WITH FELLOW PROJECTS: THE AGRIMODELS CLUSTER

Alltogether three projects are funded under the Work Programme Topic RUR-04-2018-2019, contributing to Rural Renaissance by further developing analytical tools and models to support policies related to agriculture and food. Developing new models supporting policies related to agriculture:

As part of the Grant Agreement signed with the EC the consortia participating them agreed on forming a cluster with the other projects funded within the same topic. As a result, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish the AGRIMODELS Cluster and detailing the coordination activities between the projects has been developed.
The coordinating teams of the three AGRIMODELS Cluster projects meet regularly to exchange their experiences regarding data management, modelling challenges, and identify possibilities for joint outreach activities.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM OUR FELLOW PROJECTS

Dr Tomás Václavík of UPOL, Czech Republic, will represent BESTMAP at two conferences:

The 6th International Research Workshop on Archetype Analysis in Sustainability Research, 7-9 June 2023, in Lund, Sweden, he will present a workshop on “Farming System Archetypes for modelling impacts of agricultural policies”.

The International Association for Landscape Ecology (IALE) 2023 World Congress, 10-15 July 2023, in Nairobi, Kenya, he will present on “The impact of agri-environment-climate measures on farmland biodiversity.”
